The Orvis Hydros Fly Reel delivers exceptional performance in a super-lightweight design. The narrow spool has been stiffened to minimize line stacking, while the drag knob was moved to offer easier access. The fully sealed drag with stacked carbon and stainless steel disc washers is one of the strongest in the industry, with zero start-up inertia. These reels feature a matte type II anodized finish, a standard large arbor size which balances better with lighter-weight fly rods, and yet still offers excellent retrieval rates and less line coiling than standard arbor reels.
