This supercharged 70VIS reel shares all the same great features as the Hooker Electric Penn 80 and 130 reels, but features a more compact design and includes a fully detachable Hooker Electric Drive Unit to allow you to fight your fish manually. This configuration is perfect for those who wish to use their 70VIS as a “dual purpose” reel for both deep dropping and traditional trolling. Whether you are deep-dropping for bottom dwellers, trolling, pulling dredges, or battling daytime swordfish, the Hooker Electric 70VIS is up to the challenge.
