NMEA AutoswitchPreconfigured Autoswitch ModeAutoswitch Mode: Intelligent Software Determines the highest priority device with valid data, based on one of three reasons – a failure to send any NMEA data, an invalid NMEA sentence checksum, or if the validity flag(s) contained within the NMEA sentence indicate that this data is not valid and should only be used with caution (for GPS and Depth data).The chosen input’s data will be resent out the two ISO-Drive outputs (and USB if available), allowing two different Baud rates to be used (typically 38400 Baud and 4800 Baud).The Actisense NDC-4 and NDC-4-USB allow up to five OPTO isolated NMEA 0183 sources to be multiplexed into a single stream*.Two flexible ISO-Drive outputs allow two different downstream talker baud rates to be created, ensuring maximum system flexibility.The NDC-4 is flexible and powerful enough to be the heart of a simple system, or one of many Actisense products in a more complex system. It provides complete access to all NMEA 0183 data sources, configurable filters to remove unwanted data, as well as enabling an on-board PC to read and add the combined data stream.Factory preconfigured versions enable the NDC-4 to be used out of the box for AIS operation (NDC-4-AIS) or as an Autoswitch (NDC-4-ASW).*Four inputs on the USB version, as the USB interface acts as the fifth channel, overriding the fifth OPTO input.
